A lot of us get caught up in trying to determine what is success. Is it how much money we have, the things we buy, the house we live in, the car we drive or the jewelry we Wear. Social media and television have made almost impossible to determine exactly what that is because we try and emulate what we see instead of worrying about what it really means.
This article is going to go are a few ways that you can determine your success that have nothing to do with money or fame. Real success has a do with how you’re living your life.
Number one
You Don’t Try to Please Everyone. One of the first things we have to look at as being successful is trying not to please everyone around you in your life. Success happens when you quit listening to the noise of the world and focus on what’s important you. Your success is your reality. Make your reality what you want to be.
Number two
Showing Gratitude and Being Polite. One of the oldest books out there written by Dale Carnegie “How to Win Friends and Influence People” talks about how just being polite and nice to people can go such a long way. When you take the time to show gratitude and give thanks for the things that are around you in your life you are showing success. Small acts of kindness go a very long way.
Number three
Sometimes you get lost in your own world. You get so caught up into the things that bring you pleasure that you sometimes get lost. Start working on the project and hours go by and you realize that you really have passion for what it is you do. This means you successfully found something that makes you whole. You have successfully found something that gives you passion. Is hard enough as it is to walk through life every day and not find something that we have passion about.
Number four
People Have Shown Gratitude Towards You. Isn’t it great to be thanked by someone for something that you’ve done for them. You’re not doing it for the thanks you doing it because you can but isn’t it nice when you do receive thanks? This way you show that the way you live your life is not always about you. Spout the people around you your friends, family and strangers that come across your path. When you receive messages of thanks gives you more energy and motivation to do more for others.
Number five
You Do the Things That Excite You the Most. I mean really excite you. Most people live a day-to-day life that just does not have any excitement. Same thing day in and day out. But you on the other hand have found things that really truly excites you. Can’t wait for the weekend or you can’t wait to get off work because you going to do something that really is exciting. So exciting in fact that you don’t even need friends to go with you.
Number six
Your Life Meets Your Expectations. Multiple lives aren’t really bad; they are just really really boring. That’s why they need the constant entertainment of television, Facebook, social media and anything else that gives distractions. You are successful if you trade excitement for distractions. You are successful if you’re living life on your own terms. You are successful if you showing gratitude and thankfulness for the life you do have.
You have to define what success means to you and get out there and do whatever it takes to make it happen.
